We landed in Cochin (Ernakulam) in the afternoon at 2.40pm. Mr. Mathew was there to receive us. We moved towards our vehicles, our Indica had not arrived so they gave us a Toyota Qualis, which is more comfortable ofcourse. The room was charming one equipped with a sofa, master bed, dressing table and tiny fridge. The surprise was a nice tub in the bathroom.
We had bath and ate the snacks we had brought along. We went out and had tea at a local outlet. It cost us just 7 Rs. for a cup of tea.
We then went for a long walk along the Marine Drive (Yes that is what it is called. I guess, inspired by Bombay) which is bang opposite SEA LORD. We went for the round trip of Kochi harbor in a launch. (Rs. 20/hr per person)
After this and the harbor breeze we were starved so had Super at a self service restaurant. Baba had the Chana Masala and I had the huge Paper Dosa and ended the meal with a pineapple juice. The entire meal cost us 80 Rs.
After the meal we went back for a stroll on the Marine Drive before retiring for the day.
The hotel had central a/c so the night was chilly but I was enjoying my trip to Kerala already.
